Última actualización: 21/05/2010
Objetivos
The aim of this course is to provide a broad introduction to the study of classroom behaviour. Considerable attention will be given to “what” observation is and “how” it is done in order to gain insights in “how” the happenings of the teaching/learning are organized and conducted. We will also focus on a range of research topics in the four skills.
Metodología
In the theoretical part of the course, the teacher will guide the students towards ways of exploring and reflecting upon language classroom experiences. The practical sessions will provide the means for students to carry out a classroom research project at the end of the course.
Evaluación
The course evaluation comprises three parts:
1) A final written exam based on course contents (60%)
2) An individual classroom research project involving the trying out of classroom observation instruments (30%)
3) Classroom attendance and participation (10%)
